We want to share our updates in video form, leave them on Youtube for posterity and let you comment on them so we can have a chat about them both here and elsewhere.

We just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know the surveys are out. We can see that about half of you have completed them which is awesome.
Please fill them out this week so we can get an accurate count for leather colors and left-handed versions.

Hi all,
So we're on our way with the Vortex and hitting the ground running with production.
We're very excited for this and we want to keep you updated on everything we're doing with the bag to make sure that you see that we are taking your input into account as much as possible and moving on production as quickly as possible and at the best possible quality we can achieve. This is a team effort.
So first of all we want to enclose here a certificate for the leather we are using. This shows you that we will be using the leather we advertise and no shortcuts will be made on the quality of the leather. See below. You can see we are using a full grain cow-hide that is of top rate quality.
Also, we are working on final tweaks to make the bag just perfect as we mentioned in our live sessions. See below an image of the Vortex with a slightly more streamlined strap. This strap is much more of a "one-piece" with the bag as opposed to a bulkier setup where the bag tended to bunch-up at the top/ See image below:
Also, as many of you have asked we are enclosing the layouts for the front and rear pockets so you can see how the layout will work with the bag

We will have images of production as we go, it's a cool process so we're excited to share every step along the way.
So what can you expect next? We will have images of the wallet and a complete Backerkit survey sent out to you within the next couple of days. In it you will have the option to get anything from our shop and also options to purchase maintenance materials for the leather (we will have more info on that in the coming days and weeks).

We are so excited to be here, yay, we made it! We want you to know that this is a huge deal for us and we take our Kickstarter projects so seriously that wee have a super detailed process in place for communication and production. We're here for all your questions and comments as always :)

This is not your final survey for kickstarter, that you will get in a few weeks from Backerkit, this informal survey will allow us to get the right quantity of leather in the right color so please make sure to fill it out, its crucial for us so that we dont buy the wrong color leather.
OK, we are doing our best to beat our delivery deadlines by a month so lets hit the ground running together. Tomorrow we will share images from the leather buying process and more will come once we begin production this coming week.
